COLD KNAP

One of Barry’s three beaches, Cold Knap is a small pebbly beach that will accommodate most, higher levels of sailing. However, the bank is fairly steep producing a shorebreak at high tide and is not recommended for beginners. At low tide, a small sandy beach is revealed beyond the pebbles, which can produce excellent wave sailing and jumping conditions. In the summer the wind can pick up and it becomes easy to get going with a 5.0. This beach is ideal for intermediate sailors, especially in wind against tide conditions. There are strong currents at certain states of the tide.
